Who answers
This site does no tree work. The number connects to an independent tree service in your area, or to a company that schedules appointments for tree services; they decide what to send, when, and what it costs. How the site is paid is on its own page.
What you will be asked
| Topic | Why they ask |
|---|---|
| Location and what is near the tree | A tree over a roof or wires needs different equipment |
| Condition | Down, hanging, leaning or standing changes the plan |
| Size | A guess at height and trunk thickness sets the crew size |
| Access | A truck at the curb, or everything carried through a gate |
| Insurance | Whether an adjuster needs to see it first |
| Who decides | At a rented home, the landlord usually does |
Before you dial
- People out from under the tree, and the electric utility called if a line is involved. Power lines
- Photographs taken. The Texas Department of Insurance asks for them before the tree is moved or repairs begin.
- Nothing cut: the International Society of Arboriculture warns that limbs under tension can react unexpectedly when cut or moved.
About price
